AiRM was founded in 2003.

The organisation has delivered a varied programme of exhibitions centred on 8 medieval churches located on Denge and Walland marsh. Art in Romney Marsh continues to support artists to experiment and make site-specific work. Since 2011, AiRM has delivered a wide range of learning programmes that engage community groups with their local heritage and history.  Creative, partnership and educational opportunities are organised by

Susan Churchill
Director/curator

Our organisation is LGBQT+ led and continues to actively support diversity and inclusivity. We want to support the members of our communities who would otherwise be excluded or marginalised based on the grounds of gender, race, class, sexuality, disability to take part in our events and exhibitions. We are confident that we provide equal access to opportunities and resources where people across all identities can feel valued, welcomed, respected, included, represented, and safe. That they can be their authentic self, can contribute and have a voice.
